Nova Launcher Prime v89400 (8.9.4) Mod APK – Best Download
Nova Launcher Prime unlocks the full Nova experience: gesture shortcuts, app drawer groups, hidden apps, icon swipe actions, and extra scroll effects. This modded 13 MB build ships Prime unlocked without a license key.
Nova Launcher Prime Unlocked Home Screen Tools
Nova Launcher Prime is the paid unlock that turns the free Nova home screen into a fully configurable launcher. One purchase, or one modded install, activates gesture shortcuts, app drawer tabs, hidden apps, icon swipe actions, and extra scroll effects that stay locked in the base app. Everything else comes from Nova itself: subgrid icon placement, icon pack support, Material You color theming, and local or cloud backup of your layout. Because Prime is a license layer, it is small, needs Android 8.0 or newer, and does nothing on its own until the main Nova Launcher app is installed. Anyone who wants a break from home screen tweaking can jump into Hill Climb Racing 2.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nova Launcher Prime?
It is the paid unlock layer for Nova Launcher, not a launcher in its own right. Activating it turns on the premium half of the free app: home screen gestures, app drawer groups, hidden apps, icon swipe actions, extra scroll effects, and notification badges. The modded build described here switches on the same feature set without a license key or an in-app purchase.
Do I need the free Nova Launcher app installed first?
Yes. Prime is only a license, so the free Nova Launcher has to be installed and set as your default home app before any premium option appears. Once both are in place, open Nova Settings and the unlocked toggles are available immediately. Exporting a layout backup after setup makes moving to a new phone take seconds.
What does the unlocked build enable?
It enables gestures, drawer groups, hidden apps, icon swipe gestures, extra scroll effects, notification badges, and unread counts. The modified package also drops bundled wallpapers, rate prompts, and analytics components, according to its release notes, which is why the download sits around 13 MB.
What Android version is required?
The 8.9.x builds need Android 8.0 or newer, which covers most phones still receiving security updates. Devices stuck on Android 7 cannot install them. Tablets are supported too, and the grid plus subgrid positioning scales to larger displays without a separate build.
Is Nova Launcher Prime a standalone launcher?
No. Prime is a license key package, so it has no home screen of its own and never shows up in the launcher chooser. Layouts, icons, and settings all live in the free Nova Launcher app, while Prime simply flips the premium switches inside it.
Can I keep my layout after installing it?
Yes, if you back it up first. Export your layout to a local file or cloud storage before uninstalling the Play Store copy, because a modified APK is signed differently and cannot be installed over the official one. Import the backup afterwards and icons, widgets, and folders return to their grid positions.
